ACCOMODATION – Treehotel is located in the tall pine forest with spectacular views of the Lule River. The tree rooms are suspended 4-10 metres above the ground and are accessible by ramp, bridge, or electric stairs. Upon checking in at The Guesthouse, it’s a five-minute walk to Treehotel. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served in our Treehotel Guesthouse restaurant.  All of the Treehotel tree rooms have: Incinerating toilet, electricity, underfloor heating, air conditioning, coffee maker and water kettle, fresh drinking water, refrigerators, WiFi, our sustainable Rukkamoika water system with 3 litres of water for washing your hands. Dragonfly and The 7th Room also have their own showers.

THE 7TH ROOM    This is our seventh and newest room, a suite designed to have different ‘experience levels’. The underside of the room shows a life-size photo of the pine tree tops as they looked before the room was here. The stairs leading up to the room have several storeys with vantage points.  Inside the room you will find panoramic windows facing the river valley and the northern lights – the bedrooms have skylight windows for you to view the bright summer night sky. At the centre of the room there is a terrace, formed by a net floor with a naturally growing pine in the middle. Through the net floor you can see 10 metres below you and behind a transparent railing lies the vast expanse of the Lule River Valley. A breath taking, awe-inspiring and perfectly safe place to be. Also, it is practically mosquito-free, since mosquitoes don’t usually fly this high.  The room has a total size of 100 sq. m. whereof the accommodation takes up 75 sq. m. Here you will find five beds, two bedrooms with two beds each and one 120 cm extra bed in the lounge. There is a bathroom and a shower with eco-friendly features. The rooms have incinerating toilets and normal tap water system with 3 litres of water for washing your hands. The room is dominated by Scandinavian wooden interiors and textiles. The facade is a burnt wood finish, completely unlike that of the other rooms. Something that makes the 7th Room particularly cosy is a temperature-controlled fireplace that lights itself below a certain temperature on cool winter nights. For summer stays, the room has built in AC, but you can also feel the summer breeze by opening the large sliding doors that face the net terrace, both from the lounge and the two bedrooms. The 7th Room was designed by Norwegian firm, Snöhetta.

THE DRAGONFLY    The Dragonfly is our second-largest room, at 52 sq. m. and 22 tons. The room is primarily used for private accommodation, but can also be used for small conferences of up to 6 participants. Here you will find four beds in two bedrooms, one with a view of the Lule River Valley from the bed and the other facing the calm, wind-whispering forest.  A 15-metre ramp takes you up to the Dragonfly and ends at a small patio outside the door. This too has been the site of many proposals and engagements over the years.  Inside the room, large panoramic windows offer a view of the river valley. In some places, the light falls in a way that almost gives you the illusion of being able to touch the trees outside. Even in the bathroom, with its own shower, you have an amazing view of tall pines and the Lule River.  All of the Treehotel tree rooms have incinerating toilets and our sustainable Rukkamoinika water system with 3 litres of water for washing your hands.  The room is a wooden construction with a metal facade which has taken on a rusty brown shade, allowing the room to blend in amongst the pines. The Dragonfly is spacious enough for two couples, four friends, a family, or as a social space for a larger group staying in other rooms.  The Dragonfly room was designed by Finnish architect firm Rintala Eggertsson.
