MBINGU VILLA – Mbingu – Heavenly Sky. Our presidential suite, fit for a sultan and his bride. This outstanding villa gleams from the beachfront, its unique domes, balconies, and private pools floating over the palm trees like a mirage. This two-bedroom, 4 tiered palace showcases the best of Xanadu design – spacious living areas opening out to the garden plunge pool, with direct beach access down sandy, flower-lined paths. The first floor houses a master room with all the Xanadu touches – a waterfall shower and en-suite, private sea view balcony, luxurious furnished, and exquisite handpicked objet d’art from Africa and abroad. Continue up the exterior staircase and the penthouse suite awaits, a lofty organic domed master suite that exudes space and wonder – truly reaching for the heavens. Mbingu Penthouse has one last touch to make this a place truly worthy of the gods – a final tier to the very private, very indulgent rooftop pool, housed within a custom dome with views above the palms trees to the turquoise ocean beyond.

KORONGO VILLA ( 2 BEDROOM ) – Korongo & Mlima – Mountain & Canyon. Our sister villas, each sleeping 2 or 4 guests in two bedrooms, are ideal for friends and families, as they offer super-sized living and dining areas, private plunge pools, outdoor showers, and luscious garden surroundings. Each roundhouse style master bedroom comes complete with a deluxe en-suite bathroom(featuring waterfall shower) while the living areas boast a Xanadu dome ceiling, supersized fan, and open pavilion-style archways.

MLIMA VILLA ( 2 BEDROOM ) – Mlima – Mountain. One of our 2 bedroom sister villas offers the ideal getaway for friends and family, with supersized living and dining area, private plunge pool, outdoor shower, and luscious garden surroundings. Each roundhouse style master bedroom comes complete with a deluxe en-suite, waterfall shower, private entrance, and cathedral windows. The living areas boast a Xanadu dome ceiling, supersized fan, and open pavilion-style archways to let the Zanzibar trade winds share their cooling ocean breeze. Fully equipped with a lounge, dining, and pool area, this space quickly becomes the heart of your stay at Mlima.

UMANDE VILLA – Umande – Dewdrop. Our coziest villa, Umande is a perfectly formed hideaway surrounded by tropical flowering gardens and a private plunge pool perfect for two. This superior room includes a luxurious en-suite bathroom with a waterfall shower, the Xanadu dome design giving an incredible sense of space and light. This villa can be booked in combination with the Alfajiri Villa – ideal for those traveling in groups but still requiring a private sanctuary.

ALFAJIRI VILLA – Alfajiri – Dawn. This 1 bedroom sea-front villa greets the sun each morning over the Indian Ocean and is the perfect retreat for honeymooners to begin their life together. Nestled amongst established gardens and sandy beach pathways, this intimate 2-story villa boasts a ground floor living and dining area, opening out to the private plunge pool, outdoor shower, and direct beach access. Upstairs, the custom Xanadu dome design creates a sacred space for the generous bedroom, en-suite, and balcony.

MARIMBA VILLA ( 1 BEDROOM ) – Mawimbi – Waves. A cozy villa situated right on the beach where the waves of the ocean will mesmerize you. Step from the privacy of your superior room onto the beach or enjoy the magnificent sea view from your private plunge pool. The villa boasts a luxurious ensuite bathroom with a waterfall shower and the Xanadu dome design giving an incredible sense of space and light.

KIMWONDO VILLA  ( 1 BEDROOM ) –  Kimwondo – Shooting Star. The architect’s favorite. This extraordinary villa takes the Xanadu signature style and transforms it to another level. A 2-storied villa, Kimwondo boasts a spacious bedroom and en-suite on the ground floor, detailed with our luxury finishes and custom cathedral windows. From the exterior staircase, however, is where this villa truly makes its statement. As you reach the rooftop plunge pool and the terraced lounge, Kimwondo becomes the perfect platform for intimate moonlit dinners, twilight dips, and late-night stargazing.

DINING

Social foraging in our restaurant, nestled away in your private villa, embracing the romantic beach, or carried away to a remote island; the story is yours to be told. Special requests for dietary requirements and celebrations will be discussed and catered for – flexibility, individuality, and exclusivity is a part of Xanadu’s cuisine. Non-alcoholic drinks, local beers and a range of house wines are included while cocktails, premium wines, and spirits are available at an extra charge.
