Located on the secluded and private Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands this property is the most idyllic location imaginable.

This private island paradise offers over 74 acres of lush and tropical landscape surrounded by the warm and calm Caribbean Sea. Necker sits in turquoise waters surrounded by coral reefs and fringed with beautiful white sandy beaches making it your own private hideaway; away from the stresses and strains of daily life. The island can be hired exclusively for groups of up to thirty people, or if you’re not looking to hire it exclusively, you can still enjoy the Necker experience during Celebration Weeks when individual rooms can be booked by singles or couples to enjoy our fabulous island paradise ’house party’ style.
Accommodation on Necker Island is split between the six Bali Houses, each of which has one bedroom plus the Great House which has eight bedrooms and a spacious Master Suite. Necker Island can sleep up to thirty adults and there is also a bunkroom in the Great House which can accommodate up to six children. All rooms have private en-suite bathrooms.

The Bali Houses
The six stunning private houses are built in authentic Balinese style and each can accommodate one couple. Both Bali Beach and Bali Buah can be split into twins. Some of the Bali Houses are split levels complete with a meditation room. Bali Hi, Bali Cliff and Bali Beach are built on a cliff in order to take full advantage of the amazing views, sea breezes and the sounds of the sea. They are nestled together with one shared plunge pool but all have private en-suite bathrooms. Bali Cliff has a stunning fully open-air bathroom. Bali Beach as you might expect overlooks the beach! Bali Lo, Bali Buah and Bali Kukila are built in the middle of the island and have fantastic views with a large private pool. All Bali Houses have home entertainment systems with iPod docking leads and all are fully air-conditioned.

The Beaches
The beaches on Necker Island are really stunning and there is no shortage of places to lie down and take in the sun. Main Beach is where most of the water activities are based and where you will find the Tennis and Beach Pavilion plus an aqua-trampoline which is anchored to the sea floor. Turtle Beach is a more peaceful palm-fringed beach, featuring hammocks, where you can lie back and enjoy the sounds around you. There are many other places where guests can find a peaceful spot to relax and the more energetic can take the two-hour walk around the island to view the flora and fauna.

Water Activities
There is a large selection of water activities on the island, all having state of the art equipment. This enables the guests to be able to try kite-surfing, sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, kayaking, power boat trips and plenty more. Snorkelling equipment is also provided for those who want to go out and blow some bubbles with Necker’s underwater wildlife! The watersports building is located right on the main beach and not only is it a perfect place to find all the water toys you need, but it is also somewhere to take it easy and enjoy the views! There is a decking area with chairs for spectators and even a hammock so you don’t have to be involved in the sports to come down and join the action. There are highly qualified instructors who are all very eager to give you the chance to try all the sports that are available.

The Beach House
The Beach House is located in the Main Beach area where guests have access to two floodlit tennis courts and a viewing deck. The Beach Pavilion has an expansive communal area on the ground floor, with an impressive bar, lots of seating, space for game tables, and a huge sofa that is twenty six feet long! The sofa is positioned in front of a massive flat screen TV – perfect for catching up on the latest DVDs or for just relaxing in the shade when the sun’s at its hottest. The upper floor is designed for communal dining, with a large table and some great views out onto the tennis courts on one side and out to beautiful turquoise sea on the other!

The Pools
The Pool Pavilion has one of the most stunning pools around! This is located at Main Beach and can be accessed from both land and beach sides. There is a swim-up bar off the infinity pool complete with rocks in the pool where guests can sit and enjoy a drink. There is also a huge Jacuzzi right on the beach with space for more than twenty people! Within the pool complex is the thatched Crocodile Pavilion, complete with a large solid teak crocodile table where guests can be served fresh food from the Pavilion’s gourmet kitchen. There is also an infinity pool at the Great House and a private pool shared by Bali Lo, Bali Buah and Bali Kukila. Bali Hi, Bali Cliff & Bali Beach all share a plunge pool.

Tennis
The Tennis Courts are also located in the Main Beach area. Here guests have access to two floodlit courts. Equipment is provided, although enthusiasts may wish to bring their own. There is also a professional tennis coach who is normally resident at Necker for those who wish to perfect their game and also arrange tournaments.

Spa Treatments
Leha Leha is the Balinese way of describing peace, relaxation and daydreaming and there is no better place to experience this than with a spa treatment on Necker Island Spa. There are two fully trained resident beauty therapists offering a fabulous range of treatments. These are not included in the normal rates but a treatment list is available on request.

Food & Drink
Fine food is the highlight of any guests stay and the rates are fully inclusive of all food and all beverages, including champagne! Necker Island has wonderful chefs, who prepare food that the island has become famous for and it is up to the guests whether they want to dine on lobster and caviar or a Sunday roast! Guests can choose to dine formal or informal, inside or outside, themed or traditional or a mixture of everything can also be arranged. Necker Island stocks a fine range of international wines, top quality spirits, international beers and excellent house champagne. You can also ship something special to the island if preferred and generally there is no extra charge unless the item is particularly rare or extra shipping is involved. No limit is placed on the amount of food or beverage consumed and guests are encouraged to treat Necker like their own home, therefore they are welcome to help themselves to anything they want, whenever they want.

Children
Richard Branson designed Necker Island to be his family’s holiday home and his own children spent almost all of their school holidays there since they were infants, therefore it is no surprise that Necker Island is child friendly. The only time where Necker is best left to the grownups is during our couple-only Celebration Weeks where it’s time for the adults to enjoy themselves! However, there is also special Family Fun Weeks, when the whole family are welcome on island. On Necker there are plenty of things for children to do. There is a large range of children’s DVDs, toys, books and games. There are all of the usual activities however, other activities such as treasure hunts or the beach Olympics can also be arranged. The island features cots, baby baths and babysitting is also provided at an additional cost. Children’s meals can be provided any time. Guests can bring their own diapers and formula or just let us know in advance what they will need and we will make sure we have it in time for their arrival.

Necker Nymph
If all the activities on Necker Island weren’t enough to keep you busy, this private island for rent now has a new world-first – a three-person aero submarine which is called Necker Nymph. This underwater ‘aircraft’ has been designed especially for Virgin Limited Edition and takes exploration under the sea to a whole new level. Guests can discover some stunning parts of the British Virgin Islands that you might not get to see any other way!

Two passengers sit either side of a trained pilot who will take the submarine down to as deep as thirty metres below the surface. Once you’ve buckled up you’ll have front row views of some spectacular marine life. Necker Nymph can travel at speeds of up to 6 knots underwater, and dives typically last between one and two hours.

Getting to the Island
By plane, the closest international airport is on Tortola (Beef Island) which is a thirty five-minute flight from San Juan and up to a one hour twenty minute flight from Antigua. It is possible to fly to the British Virgin Islands via many parts of the Caribbean, with the most popular routes being via San Juan, Antigua and St. Thomas. Fixed wing aircraft are not able to land on Necker Island, however private aircraft can land at Beef Island and Virgin Gorda (depending on aircraft size) and then transfer by boat or helicopter to Necker.
Necker has a helipad just a short distance from the Main House, but please note that helicopters cannot fly after dark in the British Virgin Islands except in emergencies, as customs must be open to clear the flight. It is possible to fly via helicopter from Tortola, Virgin Gorda, St. Thomas, San Juan and many other neighbouring islands.

By boat Necker is approximately thirty minutes from Tortola and ten minutes from Virgin Gorda where there is another smaller airport. It is also possible to anchor a yacht off Necker if guests are going to be sailing in the area.
