Ladder offers unique outdoor adventures and serves as a wildlife refuge for many native New Mexico species. Ladder works closely with the Turner Endangered Species Fund to help rebuild the population of threatened species such as the Chiricahua leopard frog, Bolson tortoise, Rio Grande cutthroat trout and the Mexican wolf.
Ladder’s proximity to four Rio Grande tributaries allows for a vast collection of animal life, such as bison, elk, mule deer, javelina, antelope, bears, and mountain lions to thrive.

Conservation and Wildlife
