A couple of minutes’ walk from Sa Llupia, you’ll find Deià’s winding village streets, crammed with fantastic restaurants, unique shops, and art galleries, while the 5-star La Residencia is virtually on your doorstep, with its spa, restaurants, and tennis courts.

BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS – Choose from four stunning double bedrooms furnished with bespoke furniture, luxurious bedding, and unique design pieces. All have fabulous mountain and village views with en-suite stone, slate, and marble shower rooms; the master bedroom has both a free-standing bath and separate shower. Two bedrooms have locally-made four-poster beds and the other two can be made up as doubles or twins. On the ground floor, you’ll find a cloakroom just off the hallway and an outdoor shower room with WC.

THE LIVING ROOM – The living areas enjoy subtle neutral tones and designer pieces by Roche Bobois, Ralph Lauren, Decorus, Cherner Chair Company, and Maxalto. The living room itself offers relaxed, comfy seating and a magnificent vaulted beamed ceiling. There’s also a spectacular Stelle chandelier by Barcelona Design which casts an impressive glow over the double-height ceiling in the hallway.

KITCHEN & DINING – The kitchen is equipped with state-of-the-art Miele appliances including induction hob, double oven, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher, larder fridge, and freezer, while the utility room has wine storage and an extra fridge and freezer. Dine under the magnificent Kevin Reilly ‘Altar’ chandelier suspended over the Andrianna Shamaris teak butterfly kitchen table, or alfresco on the covered terrace (with Weber BBQ) for long balmy evenings under starry skies.

If you’d rather leave the culinary creations to the professionals, we can arrange for a private chef to cook for you, using the freshest, locally sourced ingredients. Alternatively, sample the restaurants, cafes, and bars on your doorstep, many with Michelin stars.

THE GARDENS – There are plenty of spaces to relax outside. Take a dip in the pool with a swim-jet, or sunbathe on the terrace with its uninterrupted village and mountain views. Sun loungers and comfy chairs are well placed so you can enjoy both sunshine and shade under the parasols.

Olive and Cypress trees surround the pool, while a burst of pink bougainvillea creeps up and over the stone walls of the villa. Add to these, fragrant orange and lemon trees, and you have a truly tranquil space to enjoy. There’s also an outdoor shower room, perfect after a dip in the pool.

FOOD & RESTAURANTS

Dining here is gastronomic heaven. We love La Residencia’s restaurant, El Olivio, which offers gracious fine dining, or the intimate, Michelin-starred Es Raco d’es Teix, otherwise known as Josef’s – booking here is essential in high season, especially for a highly sought-after seat on the terrace to soak up the incredible village and mountain views. Other favorites include Sebastian’s, where the simple philosophy is unusually good food with friendly, efficient service; the Village Café, which serves excellent Mediterranean cuisine; and Xelini, arguably the best place for tapas in Deià.

HEALTH & FITNESS

Deià is a superb place for walking with a number of paths and tracks to follow around the hillside – most are clearly marked with red dots and cairns. Mallorca Hiking specializes in tailor-made, guided walking tours. For the super-fit, Deià also offers excellent mountain biking territory and Tramuntana Tours offers guided cycling tours and cycle hire from their shop in nearby Soller. There are also public tennis courts in the center of Deià and we’d be happy to arrange tennis coaching for you. For something more relaxing, let us arrange for a beauty therapist to visit the villa for a relaxing massage or facial, or, stroll to the 5-star La Residencia hotel, virtually on your doorstep, where you’ll have access to a wonderful spa and tennis courts.

WATER ACTIVITIES

The coast is within easy reach. For beaches, head to Cala Deià, the local shingle cove popular with local artists and writers, or drive to Puerto de Sóller (20 mins) with its sandy beach and boat club where you can hire motorboats to take you along the coast. Puerto de Valldemossa is just a 15-minute drive away, with a small, shingle beach, ideal for sunbathing or swimming. The perfect way to see the coastline of North West Mallorca is from the sea, and Mezzo Magic can tailor-make your boat trip, whether it’s a few hours along the coast, or a tour of the coves with snorkeling, followed by lunch at a hidden gem of a restaurant. A number of aqua-parks can also be found on the island, such as Western Park in Cala Figuera, approx. 40 minutes drive away.
