Castello di Casalborgone | Turin | Piedmont | Italy
Province of Turin
Castello di Casalborgone dates from 999 and has an incredible history of noble families, of wars, of parties, of extreme beauty and life through time. Many different people and influences have been part of the castle in different eras. However, for the past 20 years, the castle has been uninhabited and neglected, left to its own rest. After the last year of renovation fine care and attention paid to details, the castle has awoken to thrive again in splendor and elegance.
The castle is nestled in the Piemonte Region in Northern Italy and is an easy 30 minute drive from Turin, or 1 hour and 30 minutes from Milan.
This region has recently been adopted as part of UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere Programme (MAB) that aims to “combine the natural and social sciences, economics and education to improve human livelihoods and the equitable sharing of benefits, and to safeguard natural and managed ecosystems, thus promoting innovative approaches to economic development that are socially and culturally appropriate, and environmentally sustainable.
