DINING
Ristorante al Mare, built with Le Sereno’s signature attention to design and detail, offers panoramic views of the Grand Cul de Sac from the open-air dining room and Plage, the beachfront extension where guests can enjoy their meal under the shade of coconut trees with their feet in the sand and experience refreshing beachside breezes. Unveiled in November 2019, the restaurant features a brand-new Michelin-starred culinary team led by executive chef Raffaele Lenzi. Chef Lenzi is joined by the talented chef Andrea Cimino and food & beverage director Stefano Gaiofatto, who come to St. Barth’s from Le Sereno’s sister property, Il Sereno Lago di Como, where they helped the restaurant Berton Al Lago earn its first Michelin star within a year of opening.
Chef Lenzi’s new menu at Ristorante al Mare focuses on fresh, local ingredients expertly crafted into simple, delicious, contemporary Italian cuisine best-enjoyed beachside, while retaining some of the beloved guest favorites such as the Spaghetti con Aragosta (lobster spaghetti). New menu highlights include the Spaghetti with Fresh Cucumber Ceviche, Aragosta con Caponatina di Verdura (lobster with a vegetable caponata), Spaghetti Ai Cinque Pomodori (spaghetti with sauce made from five tomato varieties) and Caciucco Alla Livornese (traditional Italian fish soup served with toasted bread). LANDSCAPE
Following the damage from Hurricane Irma in September 2017, Le Sereno once again partnered with tropical master landscape architect, Enrique Blanco, to design the property’s new scenery as part of the 2018 renovations. A disciple of the famous Brazilian landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx and highly noted for his designs from Caracas to Barbados, Blanco’s design gives new life to the iconic property. Adding in grand exotic gardens, vibrant plants, and island trees throughout, the new landscape design emphasizes the detail, simplicity, and beautiful serenity Le Sereno is known for.
