LODGE – Anchoring Blackberry Mountain is the Lodge, a 17,000 sq. ft. space that includes the main dining room, dining porch, private dining room, dining terrace, bar and screened-in porch lounge. Indoor and outdoor areas feature an inviting, earth-toned palette that reflects the sunsets of the Great Smoky Mountains.
DINING – Three Sisters restaurant and the adjacent Whippoorwill Lounge are located within the Lodge at Blackberry Mountain. Named after the local three-peaked view of the mountain on which the resort is located, Three Sisters draws inspiration from the local cultivation and preservation-driven mission of Blackberry Mountain under the direction of two executive chefs: Josh Feathers, an alum of Blackberry Farm since 2000, who oversees the breakfast and lunch menus, and executive chef Joey Edwards, an alum since 2013, who oversees the dinner menu. Designed to enhance the views and experience of Blackberry Mountain, the dining room opens to the surrounding mountains through large picture windows and a dining porch with modern, yet timeless decor and architecture.
Located at the top of Blackberry Mountain and built around a historic restored fire tower, the Firetower operates from sunrise to sunset and houses a 72-seat dining room and intimate 13-seat bar with stunning 360-degree views of the Great Smoky Mountains. Chef Joel Werner, who has been at Blackberry Farm since 2015, oversees the menus at the Firetower, including breakfast, lunch and snacks, bowls, pizza and mussels and weekend dinner. Werner’s menus feature light and flavorful dishes for guests that are exploring the Mountain or settling in with a good book. The meticulously designed space provides unobstructed views of the surrounding area, while balancing refined elegance and rustic charm. Additional dining amenities include picnics, live fire and trail-side cooking excursions led by chefs Edwards, Feathers and Werner. Blackberry Mountain’s beverage menu further reflects a connection to heritage with a focus on generationally sustainable wines and winemaking practices, a philosophy shared with Blackberry Farm.
Built around a custom-designed, subterranean wine cellar that features over 10,000 bottles, Three Sisters features a curated list from Vice President of Food & Beverage Andy Chabot, including some of Andy’s personal favorites, including small, family-run wineries that make world-class wine without undue manipulation. Blackberry Mountain also offers a house Pinot Noir, made in collaboration with Hirsch Vineyards. Rounding out the menus at Three Sisters and the Firetower are a selection of beers from Blackberry Farm Brewery, including the proprietary Mountain Lager and Goat Hill Kölsch, as well as artisanal, small-batch spirits.
